Duration: 1,5 – 4 h depending on your speed
Terrain: Mostly flat, though with at least 7 small climbs

Around Lake Vangsvatnet

This is a family friendly route suitable from 11-12 years. You cycle on tarmac on a quiet rural road, passing through Bordalsgjelet gorge and several idyllic farm yards.
 
Attractions along the route:
  • Prestegardsmoen recreation area
  • The Bordalsgjelet gorge
  • Arts- and craft outlets on the south side of the lake
  • Several streams and small waterfalls
  • The Rekves mill (2 km from the bridge crossing the main road at Bulken)

Tvindefossen Waterfall

You cycle in rural landscape on a cycle path and a quiet back road with few hills, pass the golf course and 4 idyllic lakes before rewarded with the view of Tvindefossen waterfall. Going back, you can choose a different route.

  • The old farm “Nesheimstunet”
  • The 152 metres tall waterfall Tvindefossen
  • Hiking trail to the top of the waterfall from Tvinde Camping, walking on your own risk

Terrain: One continuous uphill for 10 km, then flat until the Skjervefossen waterfall

Skjervsfossen Waterfall

Easy climbing along the main road and cycle path to the spectacular Skjervsfossen waterfall. If you choose to cycle down the steep and winding road to get to the bottom of the waterfall, cycling becomes somewhat more challenging.
